Our theme for Ponyville Ciderfest 2023 is “An Interactive Storytelling Adventure”! This epic event is a celebration of all the writers and storytellers of the fandom and their work over the last decade.

There are two main ways that you will interact with the theme: our convention app, and characters you’ll encounter in person! Below you’ll find much more detail on interacting with these two elements, and these tips will help prepare you for the events to come!

As you pack for the event, here are some things to consider bringing so that you can get the most out of the storytelling experience!

– Any tools that help you read

While feeling left out of Ciderfest planning, Fizzy Glitch discovered the Book of All Stories, a magical tome that contains every story ever told!

Fizzy wants this con to be the best it can be, so she’s unleashed the book’s power on Ponyville Ciderfest. It’s finding its way into the hooves of lots of familiar characters, and of course, you!

Three factions have formed to tell the story their way:

Codewords, characters, and activities can all help you shape the story of Ciderfest! The first thing you should do is download the Ponyville Ciderfest app to your mobile device.

All weekend, you’ll find codewords for the app. Use them to unlock the mysteries of the story and make choices for its characters. These bite-sized stories are perfect between panels or when you take a break.

In the app, navigate to the Story tab at the bottom and tap the “Enter a Story Code” button to enter the codes you find!

Designed to be simple to use and easy on both your battery and storage, our new app gives you the power of storytelling, directly in your pocket!

If you see your favorite character wearing a feather charm, it means they’re part of the story! Interact with them to get codewords, make choices, and learn secrets about the event.

There are lots of activities all around the convention. The more events you participate in, the more you can influence the story.

There are also secret events that you can only find out about through interacting with the story and the characters. Keep an eye out for a location, time, and password for these events. Each secret event can host a maximum of 25 attendees. First come, first served!

We also have a limited number of devices for those attendees who don’t have a mobile device and want to play. We ask that you please use your own mobile device if you have one and reserve our devices for those who require them to participate.
