Ribbon Game

How to play the Ribbon Game!

What is The Ribbon Game?

Have you ever seen those ribbons people have stuck to the bottom of their con badges? That’s it! Collect and trade as many as you can to see how long your collection can grow!

How to participate:

It isn’t necessary, but you can make your own ribbon to hand out or trade with others. Some people may prefer trading the ones they’ve made.

Who will have ribbons?

No one is obligated to play, but guests, vendors, convention departments, and other attendees may be participating! You can make your own to trade to make it more fun!

How do I make ribbons? What should they have on them?

You can get ribbons from various sources, such as pc/nametag and MARCO Promos

The standard size for them to fit on the bottom of our badges is Horizontal 4″ x 1-5/8″The companies should have templates readily available for you to use. They can be taller, but try to stick to 4″ wide. Both companies have foil and full color options; either is fine!

Please note that companies have their own rates and production times, so please keep them in mind. It can sometimes take a couple of weeks to produce ribbons!

You can do anything from “I met (OC name)!” to memes or your favorite pony. Ribbons can have art and/or text, so get creative! They also come in a variety of ribbon and foil stamping colors!

The typical cost for 100 ribbons is around $43 plus shipping, depending on the site used.

Keep the content PG-13 and appropriate for the convention.

Ribbon Game Etiquette

If someone has ribbons to hand out, they are not obligated to trade or give you one.

Vendors may have ribbons and may set their own rules, such as “with purchase” or “answer my riddle” to make it more of a game. The same goes for the convention departments! Our theme is “The Game Show” after all!

There might even be flash events where you can trade ribbons. Keep an eye on our Discord and socials during the con!

Winning the Game

Everyone who participates wins the satisfaction of having fun by collecting as many as they can, while hopefully meeting some new friends!

The person with the longest ribbon collection by closing ceremonies, made of unique ribbons obtained at the convention, might even win a prize!

Note: The pronoun ribbons provided by the convention do not count, as we don’t want collectors to prevent those who wish to display their pronouns from getting the one they want.
