The Sheriff of Maretime Bay Is Reporting for Duty

Say hello to JJ Gerber at Ponyville Ciderfest 2026! The voice of Hitch Trailblazer is joining us as a Guest of Honor, and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
If you have spent any time in Maretime Bay, you know Hitch. He is the sheriff who takes the job extremely seriously, keeps a running list of rules that nopony asked for, and cannot walk half a block without gathering an entourage of small woodland creatures. JJ has voiced him in every appearance since 2022, across Make Your Mark, Tell Your Tale, Winter Wishday, and A Maretime Bay Adventure. His sincere, well-meaning, slightly flustered way of speaking really captures his character perfectly.
We would also like to point out that we are bringing the sheriff of Maretime Bay to a convention built around art. Our Vendor Hall is about to be the most orderly, best-supervised room in the building. The critters, we assume, will sort themselves out. 🐿️
JJ’s First Convention in the States
This will be JJ’s first convention appearance in the US, and we are honored that it is happening with us. There is something special about a guest’s first time in a space like ours, when a voice you have only heard through a screen suddenly belongs to somepony standing at a table, signing things and laughing at your jokes. We do not take that lightly, and we cannot wait for you to meet him.
Our thirteenth year is the Festival of Art, a whole weekend built around the fanart creators who keep this fandom as colorful as it is. The piece at the top of this post is exactly what we mean, and it comes to you courtesy of The Haywaiian Horse. Spending a weekend with the voice of Hitch in a hall full of that work sounds like a very good November to us. ✨
